Assistant professor

Last week I was elected Assistant Professor of Applied Dynamical Systems in the Department of Mathematics of the University of Aegean. The department is located in Samos: a small, beautiful, island in the eastern Aegean. It will still take some time for the appointment to clear the related bureaucracy and thus, for the time being, I continue working in Groningen.

I want to thank the members of the election committee for electing me to this position and for their appreciation of my work. I also want to thank collaborators and friends who have significantly helped me in my career. The trust and support of Henk Broer, Richard Cushman, Dmitrií Sadovskií, and Boris Zhilinksií, throughout my PhD studies and my postdoc in Groningen, have been essential for reaching this point.
